Every photo on SuliHuli shows its author, licence and source beside it - as a caption or behind the © button. Photos under a free licence may be re-used under that licence. Our own studio images are marked © SuliHuli. Images edited or created with AI say so.
Where the images come from
- Free licences: public domain and CC0, Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) and Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA), mostly from Wikimedia Commons and Flickr.
- Free photo-platform licences: Unsplash, Pexels and Pixabay.
- Manufacturer press photos, where the manufacturer's published terms allow editorial use on websites, or with written permission.
- Our own studio images, created by SuliHuli with AI.
- Photos under a free licence that we edit with AI.
How images are credited
The credit names the author, the licence with a link to its text, and a link to the original file when the licence or platform asks for it. A cropped or edited image says that it was changed. We do not mark free-licence images "all rights reserved".
Images edited or created with AI
Our studio images are our own work: SuliHuli designs the studio, light, camera angle and look of the whole series, and creates each image with AI. Their credit reads "© SuliHuli · Created with AI".
Some photos under a free licence are cleaned up with AI: background, light, number plates, stickers. Their credit names the author and licence and says "edited with AI" and what was done.
The files also carry this in their metadata (IPTC Digital Source Type).
We never change the car itself - its shape, colour, wheels, lights or badges - and we do not invent parts we could not see on real photos of the model. If an image looks different from the real car, please tell us.
Re-using images
- Free licences (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA): re-use under that licence - credit the author, link the licence and say what was changed. A photo we edited from a CC BY-SA photo is itself under CC BY-SA of the same version.
- Our studio images (© SuliHuli): ask us before re-use.
- Photo-platform licences: follow the platform's licence; it does not allow selling unaltered copies or building a competing collection.
- Manufacturer press photos: not licensed for re-use by us. Ask the manufacturer.
- The SuliHuli name and logo that may appear in a scene are our marks and are not licensed under any Creative Commons licence.
Authors and rights holders
If you are the author or rights holder of an image and want the credit changed or removed, or believe an image is used against its licence, write to hello@sulihuli.com with the page address and the image. We act on the request within 48 hours.
